Portfolio update June 2019
Another month has passed which means it is time for June’s portfolio update.
Summer has really kicked off and it has been very enjoyable so far. I managed to squeeze in a short holiday in June and visited friends and relatives. I love being active and outdoors during summer.
And more holiday is coming up in July and August. It may not be good for my savings rates, but I’m very excited to go! It is tricky to find the balance between enjoying the present while keeping focussed on the long term as well. Nevertheless I think I had made fairly sensible decisions around my holiday plans.
Also, I published four blog posts in June:
- Grupeer Review
- Envestio Review
- FAST INVEST Review
- News: Mintos rating updates and Envestio partnership!
In other news, I added one platform to my portfolio:
Monethera is a business crowdlending platform based out of Estonia and started out as a private investment fund. Currently 3 projects are open for investment with interest rates of around 18%. Its competitors are platforms like Envestio and Crowdestor. More on Monethera further down. I’m also very excited to announce I will publish a Q&A with Monethera later this week!!
Total deposits amounted to € 3,700.00.
Total deposits amounted to € 1,300.00.
Net investments € 2,400.00

My income statement is still moving up and another all-time high has been set! Nevertheless it does appear several platform have not delivered completely as expected, perhaps due to the end of the month falling in the weekend. Has anyone else experienced this?
Having said that, another all-time high! YAY. I’m confident the late funds will be received in July.
Crowdlending Portfolio Income
Crowdlending income for June was € 856.19 (+ 168.88). What a nice jump upwards! This will be hard to top in July, considering several quarterly payments were received in June. I doubt the new June investments will make up for it. Nevertheless, it’s a great result!
An XIRR of 14.43% is excellent. I use deposits up until last month (May) as a base to calculate XIRR.
My first goal is € 1,500.00 monthly income, which means I’m currently at 57.08% (+ 11.26%) towards my goal. I made it over 50%!! Let’s hope July doesn’t drop below 50% again haha.
Crowdestate income in June was € 122.99 (– 61.83). Not bad, still my second highest month with Crowdestate. A drop in income was to be expected after having received several quarter payments last month. One project succesfully exited in June. I’m getting to the point where Crowdestate projects will start exiting more frequently, exciting stuff!
There is one project that has been behind with its payments, but at least a payment was made in June. That’s progress. The project will be refinanced in July. I’m not worried, Crowdestate appears to be on top of things.
In June I withdrew € 1,300.00 with Crowdestate and I expect to be doing more of that over the next couple of months. Eventhough I like the platform, some of the projects that were launched in June were not that appealing.
Find more information about Crowdestate in my review.
Crowdlending income from Mintos in June was € 32.35 (– 2.06). May is a longer month and included a cashback of
In fact, I was so pleased with Mintos’ increase in rates that I deposited € 1,000.00 in June. Crowdestor and Envestio were fairly slow this month, so I thought this was a good opportunity to increase my investment with Mintos.
In other news, Mintos announced a rating upgrade for 8 of its loan originators. Among them was Varks, one of my favourite loan originators. I was also pleased to see an increased rating with Cashwagon. Varks and Cashwagon provide short-term consumer loans up to 14.5% and 15.5% respectively.

Grupeer income in June was € 113.81 (+ 2.29). So far Grupeer delivers very predictable returns and is a solid performer in my portfolio. I like how low maintenance the platform is. Auto Invest handles re-investing for me.
In June I have published my Grupeer review, do check it out if you are interested in the platform.
Also further down a few statistics from Grupeer’s Twitter – they are growing rapidly and so are the deals they are offering!
Envestio income for June was € 97.47 (+ 18.25). The platform continues to deliver returns as expected and I remain optimistic with Envestio.
In June no new projects were launched, which was a bit disappointing. However after contacting their support I found out Envestio has a partnership in the works. The official announcement will follow shortly, but bottom line: project launches were delayed, but there is a pipeline of pre-approved projects with a value of € 10,000,000+.
Envestio slowed down, but appears to be coming back stronger! Very exciting news.
Additionally, I have published my Envestio review in early June so check it out if you are interested!
If you are interesting in becoming an investor with Envestio you can sign up through my link and gain 0,5% cashback for 270 days!
FAST INVEST income was € 10.86 (– 0.01). June is a shorter month than May, so nothing to worry about. A steady month with FAST INVEST
Not much change here, the platform is great but it is hard to ignore some of the higher end returns from other platforms. I mainly see FAST INVEST as a platform for diversification. Once loan originators are published I will re-evaluate and potentially increase my investment.
In June I have published my FAST INVEST review, check it out if you are interested!
If you are interested in becoming an investor with FAST INVEST you can sign up through my link here and earn a € 10.00 sign up bonus by depositing € 200.00 and keep it invested for 90 days.
Swaper income was € 38.72 (– 18.51). I was a bit surprised seeing Swaper underperform in June. A large portion of my portfolio is overdue, so I expect it will even out in July once the buyback kicks in. In time the peaks and lows should smoothen out a bit more.
Also as a reminder, the loyalty bonus has kicked in and any new loans will return 14% now! The increased rate should also start showing more clearly going forward.
Viventor income for June was € 61.96 (+ 3.11). Income increased and overall I’m fairly happy with the platform. Nevertheless, I am not entirely satisfied. Annualized returns are lower than expected (13.52%) and I’m only invested in 14%-16% loans. My returns should be higher right?
I will remain patient for now and see what July brings, perhaps it will even out.
Robocash income was € 17.21 (– 8.67). Also Robocash appears to underperform slightly, but it’s not uncommon for smaller portfolio sizes to fluctuate more. Fingers crossed it evens out on July!
I’m pleased with Robocash, it’s as simple and as hands off as it gets. The one downside is the fixed interest rate of 12%. One could argue there’s better opportunities out there.
Crowdestor income for June was € 129.02 (+ 59.84). A big jump up and I’m pleased with the overall performance of Crowdestor. Project launched slowed down a bit in June however, so I hope they can keep launching attractive new projects.
I deposited € 1,500.00 in June and invested the entire amount in the beauty below.
Kuetzal income for June was € 210.56 (+ 162.31). A big boost in income as expected, I had deposited a significant sum in May with Kuetzal. All payments were received on time and in full.
Let’s see if Kuetzal can keep launching attractive projects. It appears they are succesful in attracting more investors, which is a positive development.
And lastly Kuetzal’s generous cashbackmarathon is worth mentioning of which the details are:
Investment amount Cash-back
1,000€ to 4,999€ 1.0%
5,000€ to 9,999€ 1.5%
10,000€ to 24,999€ 2.0%
25,000€ to 49,999€ 2.5%
50,000€ and more 3.0%
The offer lasts until 31-08-2019.
If you sign up through my link you gain another 0,5% for 180 days on top of the above cashback campaign!
TFGCrowd income for June was € 21.24 (+ 14.16). So far so good with TFGCrowd. Interest received is exactly as expected and several new projects had been launched in June with 17% returns! It will be interesting to follow if TFGCrowd can attract more investors. Even the more attractive projects take fairly long to fill up.
I do like the diversity in projects they launched as it ranges from food to a karting track to real estate.
In June I invested € 600.00 with TFGCrowd which was split over 3 projects. All three projects come with a buyback guarantee on the principle amount and one month of interest. The guarantee kicks in after 30 days of late payment.
Monethera is the latest addition to my portfolio. As mentioned before, Envestio has a fairly slow month and quite frankly so did Crowdestor. When looking for more opportunities I ran into Monethera.
Monethera is a business crowdlending platform with returns up to 18.9%. They are located in Estonia and started out as private investment fund. The platform is still in its very early stages and it will be interesting to follow how they develop over time. Check out my Q&A with Monethera to learn more.
In June I invested € 600.00 and split the funds of the 3 projects that are currently open for investment.
If you are considering opening an account with Monethera as well you can register through my link and earn 0.5% cashback for 90 days.
Another tough month when it comes to my savings rate. My savings rate for June was 72.92% (+ 15.85%). Income was higher than normal due to tax refund, however my expenses were fairly high as well. Most of it is travel and holiday spend. I have already paid for a flight in July, so hopefully I manage to keep July spend a bit down and reach the monthly target.
My target for the year is 75%, however this becomes increasingly harder to achieve. In July/August I have a holiday trip scheduled which also means increased cost.
See more details about my savings rate here.
Conclusion Portfolio Update
In a way June has been a bit slow. I decided to tuck away some cash and take advantage of Envestio’s new project launches which are expected shortly. Net investments amounted to € 2,400.00. Nevertheless, great results is very exciting.
To summarize the month:
- New all-time high for monthly income
- Reached 50% towards first target of € 1,500.00
- Introduction of a new platform: Monethera
- Just missed the savings rate target, mostly due to holiday spend
My plan remains to focus mainly on investing in projects with 16%+ returns as much as possible. In July I expect to add funds to Envestio, but will keep my eyes open for other opportunities. If there will be a lack of high end projects, Mintos will be my go-to platform.
Stay tuned for the July update!
